This week, Cult Film in Review is joined by Molly Henery of The Blogging Banshee to celebrate Women in Horror Month! We’re reviewing Mirror, Mirror, a 90s horror fantasy that absolutely does not star Julia Roberts. In this episode, Molly tells the guys what compelled her to chose this little-known horror franchise. If you thought Mirror, Mirror ended there, you must not be familiar with Mirror, Mirror parts 2, 3, and 4. Later, we point out how much this main character resembles Lydia Deets from Beetlejuice and wonder if they simply shop at the same goth outlets. Also, does human/mirror sexual intercourse necessarily make for a bad film? Finally, we ask the tough questions, like does this mirror grant wishes, which blond chick is that, and did Kyle even watch the right film?
In the Phoenix area? Don’t forget to catch Molly Henery at Phoenix Filmbar on Saturday, February 24th at 8:00 pm where she’ll be hosting a showing of Pet Sematary. Get your tickets at thefilmbarphx.com.
