With the success of three Expendables movies, many have come up with ways to use the formula in other genres. Bruce Campbell has already pitched his idea to the world for a Horror version of the formula, but it may now have some competition.

Death House was written by the late Gunnar Hansen, popular for playing the chainsaw wielding Leatherface, and so far has a veritable who’s-who of the horror film universe. Attached so far are Robert Englund (Nightmare On Elm Street), Danny Trejo (Grindhouse), Doug Bradley (Hellraiser), Kane Hodder (Friday The 13th), Bill Moseley (House Of 1000 Corpses), Don Shanks (Halloween 5), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Dee Wallace (The Hills Have Eyes), Ken Foree (Dawn Of The Dead), and Camille Keaton (I Spit On Your Grave).

The synopsis is as follows:

“The Death House is the Area 51 of Evil… a subterranean government facility that holds humanity’s worst on nine levels. Hell, Dante’s ninth level, holds the Five Evils… the “dark stars” of Death House.”

According to IMDB, most of the actors have not been given specific character names, so those of you hoping for a Freddy vs. Jason vs. Pinhead vs. Michael Myers vs. Machete will probably be disappointed. Still the idea of so many horror legend is sure to get horror fans excited. We’ll be watching this one closely.
