Long live the new flesh, and long live Cult Film in Review as we discuss our 105th film, David Cronenberg’s Videodrome! This week, we debate what Cronenberg’s most popular film of the past has been. The filmmaker has an extensive list, but how many do the general audience know about? For that matter, which of his films have the guys seen? Some of The Crew have seen quite a few, while others really only saw The Twilight Zone Movie. As we discuss this particular film, we analyze the link between sex and violence- a lot. But what are you to expect from a Cronenberg film? We also discuss the actors, particularly James Woods, who would play a fantastic smarmy dad. Finally, we try to explain the ending to this film, rather horribly, but who’s to say it can’t be correct? Is anything in this film what it seems?
