It’s the final round of our Halloween picks and Chris has chosen a quintessential Halloween anthology. This Thursday, we’re discussing Trick ‘r Treat. In this episode, we talk about what makes a good anthology and what makes a bad one. Should a strange, murderous pumpkin child follow a set of rules when choosing his victims or can he do whatever he damn well pleases? Later, we ask what we always do – is his a cult film? The answer may or may not surprise you based whether you liked this movie or not. Finally, does a horror movie become less scary if the only victims are people who kind of deserve it? Thank you to all our fans who spent yet another October listening to our picks for the holiday. See you next year with a whole new round of picks. Happy Halloween!

The overthinking of this movie in this episode is nothing short of frustrating.
Brian Cox dies because of irony. He is taught to follow the rules by Sam, but he still dies because of the unrelated sins of his past.
Makes a lot more sense than some of the theories we came up with! To date, this is still one of those episodes people still bring up (more so than Hocus Pocus). It’s definitely become a beloved Halloween classic. Thanks for the feedback!
