This week, Cult Film in Review is bringing you to the dark corners of the Magic Kingdom with our review of the 1983 fantasy film, Something Wicked This Way Comes. In this episode, Kyle gives us some backstory of the Dark Disney catalog that features such classics as The Black Cauldron, Escape From Witch Mountain, and Return to Oz. Later, we discuss the scenes in this film that probably shouldn’t be kid-friendly but somehow were greenlit by the House of Mouse. Decapitated heads? Scantily clad women? Talks about sex? This film has them all! We also talk about a bit about a reality that Hollywood rarely touches on – having an old ass dad. Finally, was Mr. Dark fair to all his victims or did he have it out for one in particular?
