Everyone loves pizza and a movie, but the one problem that has always plagued mankind is the inability to combine Cineplex projection technology with a 14-inch Original Hand Tossed. For too long has society has had to suffer with an almost impossible choice. Option one, sit cozy with a deep dish meant to feed an entire family while squinting at your puny flat screen, missing the glory that is Kevin James. Or option two, drive to your local theater to see Paul Blart as it should be, with his godlike head staring down upon you, yet unfortunately having to except the insult that is the personal pan pizza.
Well, it looks like Pizza Hut has finally solved this age-old dilemma, at least for those living in Hong Kong. Behold the “Blockbuster Box,” developed by Ogilvy Hong Kong, a pizza delivery device complete with its own lens that turns your smartphone into a personal movie projector. The lens is masterfully disguised as that little white table that guarantees the cheese doesn’t stick to the top of the box. Surely the combination of oil and glass will give films that Glamour Shots feel that current high-definition projectors have been lacking.
The box comes in four themes, which include the traditional “Zooey Deschanel making out with a pineapple” to the popular “1950’s astronaut being attacked by a giant, subterranean pizza monster.”
Here’s a video detailing the specifics:
No word as to when Pizza Hut plans to bring the Blockbuster Box stateside. Perhaps it can come with the arrival of the meat and cheese monstrosity known as the Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza.
